Here we are in London, and so far it has been a whirl wind of adventure. KC came a week before I did to get things settled. Looking back it was the best way to do this but It was awful! We hate being apart especially when you cant get a hold of each other at normal hours of the day or on a cell phone.. skype and google chat were our friends :) It took us about a week to get a place. KC worked his bunsers off walking all over southeast London trying to get a feel for the areas we had previously looked at online. He was able to find out which areas were the safer ones.. they of course ended up being the more expensive areas. Thank goodness he scoped it out while there or we wouldve ended up in a scary part of the town. We live to the East of Greenwich Park and LOVE it! It was an exhausting week for KC with school orientation during the days, searching by foot for housing at night, figuring out how and where to get places on the public transit, and figuring out how to have everything settled by the time his prego wife came. Sounds so scary to me.. KC was fine but I was a nervous wreck for him the whole week haha. That is a REALLY condensed version of the move, but here are pictures of our adventures so far!
Gina and Jason were so generous letting us stay with them while in limbo! Kensington is Gorgeous.
Awesome chess game at Holland Park- secretly wanted the kids to move so we could play!
Street View of our complex! Totally rad. KC seriously outdid himself! Plus its Called "Royal Herbert Pavilions" we got a great deal to live here: huge living spaces when comparing most London flats, large gorgeous private park in the back, and a leisure club (awesome gym, indoor pool, and thankfully a bar haha)
Our front door and one of our windows.. we hadn't moved in yet. They bring in SO much light and an awesome breeze!
Buckingham Palace- Changing of the Guards. Sorta over-rated but still fun and had to see it.
Peter Pan Statue in Kensington Park
Cute Cute Cute.. at the end of the performance, all the Older couples close to the stage stood up and danced to their hearts content to 50-60s music for like 10 minutes! We were loving it! good thing I was prepared to do CPR if needed!
We are so excited and grateful for this experience that we will have here the next few months. WE are grateful for the Lords blessings that he is sending our way and hope we continue to live so we can be worthy of the miracles he has waiting.
Love you all,
Cherrio!
